Ayarpay Yanasuchuq Uma
Ayarpay Yanasuchuq Uma, the World Eater, whose true name is never spoken, was a great black dracolich of unknown gender who once menaced the then fertile and peaceful world of Kay. Ayarpay rose up from the bowels of the earth, from Ukhu, the deep darkness below, bringing with her the demons of Supay and the dead, now risen. The species of the surface world, from the warring humans to the desperate orcs to the merciless Lizard Men and the outcast drow banded together into the Great Alliance, under the guidance of Mano-Capac, an Ancient Silver Dragon and half-brother by blood to Ayarpay. However, the last minute betrayal of the Bullywug, who defected to Ayarpay due to promises of a continent to despoil as they pleased, led to the near extinction of the peoples of Kay. It was only through the great sacrifice of the Elves, who were all nearly wiped out, and the ingenuity of the Gnomes that the peoples of Kay found their salvation in exile, building great ships to the stars, to Hanan, that civilization was saved from utter destruction. To save the people, the mother of all dragons, Pachamama, came from the sky and dove into Supay as their respective champions, Mano-Capac and Ayarpay, fought as their avatars. The resulting explosion of blood and death devastated the world and left it a desolate, blasted wasteland that smells of blood and death, where no thing may grow for 10,000 years.
Though worship of Ayarpay officially banned by all sentients except the scattered Bullywug, it is said that, cults dedicated to her still exist. And a few heretical scholars have suggested that perhaps the corpse of Kay may be incubating a new god, whose phylactary may still be intact deep within Ukhu. But these are perhaps only a tale to frighten children.
